Public Art Unveiling Will Commemorate Completion of White Oak Crossing

Mayor Ronnie Williams will join sculptor Sue Landerman to unveil an original work to commemorate the opening of the final section of White Oak Crossing, located at U.S. 70 & White Oak Road in Garner. The unveiling will be on Friday, March 17 at ten o’clock in the morning.
This final section of the shopping center will be the cornerstone of the open-air mall, a key development in the burgeoning town of Garner. The center is already home to retail mainstays like BJ's Wholesale Club, Kohl's Department Store, PetSmart and Target.
White Oak Crossing plays a key role in the growth of Garner. White Oak Crossing’s developer, Core Properties, is committed to highlighting Garner’s unique personality through public art and other community projects.

Sue Landerman is a freelance American designer and sculptor, listed with the Brick Institute of America (BIA). She has spoken and exhibited for juried shows as well as national and international conferences. Landerman is an expert who creates hand-carved artwork in stone, brick, frieze, and stucco. Her work is used to decorate interior and exterior homes, businesses, gardens, etc. Her contribution to the brick industry is the revival of centuries-old masonry carving techniques using new solutions and special applications
