Event Description:
Downtown Bird Bash is a family friendly event for everyone from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Fly with the Garner Area Historical Society, Downtown Garner Association and the Children's Entrepreneur Market for some birding fun.
The Garner Area Historical Association will be sponsoring a Youth Birdhouse Competition where youth ages 8-18 can compete with a birdhouse entry that involves a historical twist. Information and applications will be available by mid-May to compete for cash prizes at www.garner-area-historical-society.org. 
Children ages 6-8 can sign up to build and paint a Nail Less birdhouse. Information on museum website.
The Children's Entrepreneur Market will have 40 youth vendors selling their ware inside and out side of the Garner Recreation Center. Additional support by Audubon North Carolina.
Various Downtown Garner businesses will have special birding food, drinks or vendors for your flock to enjoy.
 
Location:
The Downtown Bird Bash will take place at the Recreation Center on Main Street and in businesses along Main Street in Garner, NC.

Fees/Admission:
The event is free and open to the public.

Entry fees are charged for the birdhouse competition, ages 8-18 at $5.00 for museum members and $10.00 for non-members. 
The Nail less birdhouse project, ages 6-8 will have a registration fee and limited space availability.
